Community Guidelines

good frens exists to help good dogs find good frens. These guidelines apply to every owner, every dog, and every interaction — online and in person.

Be honest

  • Use real photos and accurate information about you and your dog.
  • Disclose reactivity, medical conditions, and special needs truthfully.
  • Keep vaccination records current. Expired records will gate access to the app.

Be kind

  • Treat other owners with respect — no harassment, hate speech, or discrimination.
  • No unsolicited romantic or sexual advances. This is about dogs.
  • If someone declines a plan, accept it gracefully.

Be safe

  • Always meet in a public place for the first plan between two owners.
  • Bring proof of current vaccinations to in-person meetings.
  • Watch your dog at all times. You are responsible for their behavior.
  • If a play session escalates, separate the dogs and end the meeting.

Off-limits

  • No buying, selling, breeding, or rehoming dogs through the app.
  • No commercial solicitation or spam.
  • No dogs with known reactivity toward people or other dogs.
  • No misrepresentation of a dog's temperament or vaccination status.

Reporting

Use the report button on any profile or chat to flag a concern. Reporting automatically blocks the other user while our team reviews. Egregious violations may result in immediate removal from the platform.

Enforcement

Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, hide a profile, restrict features, or permanently terminate an account. Decisions are made by our trust & safety team and are final.
