Terms of Service

Effective June 27, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Good Frens LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("good frens," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the good frens app or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be the legal owner or authorized handler of any dog you list.
  • You must provide accurate information, including current vaccination records.

2. Account & verification

You must verify your phone number to complete signup. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account. Keep your credentials secure.

3. Dog eligibility

  • All dogs must have current Rabies and DHPP/Distemper vaccinations.
  • Dogs with known reactivity toward people or other dogs are not eligible to use the Service. Misrepresenting reactivity is a material breach of these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or harm any user, dog, or third party.
  • Misrepresent yourself or your dog (including identity, photos, age, or health).
  • Use the Service to solicit, sell, breed, or rehome dogs.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or our systems without authorization.
  • Use scraping, automation, or bots without our written consent.
  • Violate our Community Guidelines.

5. Plans & meeting in person

good frens facilitates introductions; we do not supervise, escort, or guarantee the safety of any in-person meeting. First meetings between two owners are restricted to public-place plan types. You are solely responsible for evaluating other users and dogs, and for the conduct of your dog at all times.

6. User content

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, bios, messages). You grant good frens a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload.

7. Reports & enforcement

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines, with or without notice. Reporting another user automatically blocks them pending review.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the Delete account page. We may suspend or terminate your access for any reason consistent with these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT VACCINATION SCANS, MATCHES, OR ANY OTHER USER DISCLOSURES ARE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOOD FRENS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY IN-PERSON MEETING. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

11. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold good frens harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your dog's conduct, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
